The past few days has seen the veil lifted from a number of supposedly unfinished and consequently canned Wii titles. We found out about Red Faction: B.E.A.S.T a few days ago, and whilst we can’t say we were devastated (or really all that bothered at all), it’s certainly a shame to see all that work gone to waste.
Two more canned Wii games were shown today; a new Stuntman title, and the long-anticipated Timesplitters 4. The former, again, whilst a shame, isn’t going to make us lose any sleep. However, to know that there was a Timesplitters 4 in development for Wii, only for it to be canned, is very disheartening. It was apparently shelved after Free Radical went into administration last month.
Red Faction B.E.A.S.T was in development by THQ’s Locomotive Games, but the title got the stamp of disapproval when THQ closed down the studio. It looked like the team had managed to get the game running at a solid framerate on a solid engine, despite reports that the game was early in development.
Stuntman Demolition was in development at around the same time as Stuntman Ignition on the 360 and PS3, but was later canned due to poor sales of Ignition. The entire franchise was then killed off.

ok… so they could make a timesplitters 4, but now crytech is out of devolpment money and there now is a teaser trailer now on YOU-TUBE! (infromation found by gameinformer.com but you could get there easily by just searching up “gameinformer”).
